    What Is eBook Guard Dog?

eBook Guard Dog is a content management service. We specialize in the removal of unauthorized eBook listings that are most often found on torrent and warez related websites. Are users illegally downloading your products? We can help.

    How Does It Work?

    Extensive Searches

Torrent, warez and illicit file sharing platforms, as well as communities are endlessly launching and providing users with premium content for free. eBook Guard Dog scours the world-wide-web and locates your protected products that are made available freely without your authorization. We search high and low, with an extensive, ever-growing list of illicit distribution services we are confident of locating 98% of unauthorized listings.

    Content Removal

With your permission, and on your behalf, we work with the unauthorized distribution services to have your copyrighted content removed. More often then not, in an effort to remain on the right side of the law, such websites adhere to the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) and so having any protected content removed is usually a straight forward process. In other cases, additional white-hat methods may be adopted.

    Prevention Measures

Not only do we have any copyrighted content removed, we also aim to ensure your content is prevented from re-appearing on such unauthorized distribution services. In the past, we have unfortunately found on occasions that a small number of distribution networks adhere to removal requests but allow the protected content to be made freely available again a short-time after. eBook Guard Dog aims to prevent this.

    How Effective Are Your Services?

eBook Guard Dog prides itself on quality, we try to ensure all of our customers receive a ‘top-notch’ service. Ideally we aim to remove 98% of unauthorized listings we encounter, dependent on package purchased. We are happy to say that the vast majority of content we deem unsuitable (file sharing and warez links) is removed successfully. In some cases we may encounter unresponsive website owners, in these circumstances we may be required to contact server/web hosts directly.

Unauthorized Content Has Re-appeared, What Now?

Unfortunately in some cases, unauthorized listings re-appear on torrent and warez communities. It’s a constant battle of piracy. If you have purchased one of our packages, and previously removed content has re-appeared, we’ll attempt to have this removed again completely free of charge.

How Long Will It Take To Deliver The Service?

Service delivery times can vary greatly. It largely depends on two factors; the package purchased and the severity of unauthorized content we encounter. eBook Guard Dog ensures content has been removed BEFORE we deliver a final report, this can take anywhere from one day to two weeks.

As a general guideline, we aim to provide final reports within 14 days of purchase.

Am I Required To Do Anything During The Campaign?

Most certainly not. When we have received your payment and requested details, we’ll be ready to initiate your campaign. In rare circumstances, you may be contacted by web masters to confirm your identity and to ensure you are aware eBook Guard Dog is claiming to be working on your behalf.

How Do You Remove Unauthorized Content?

More often then not, in an effort to remain on the right side of the law, the majority of websites adhere to the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act).

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a United States copyright law that implements two 1996 treaties of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). It criminalizes production and dissemination of technology, devices, or services intended to circumvent measures (commonly known as digital rights management or DRM) that control access to copyrighted works. It also criminalizes the act of circumventing an access control, whether or not there is actual infringement of copyright itself.

eBook Guard Dog approaches the distributors and websites who are allowing users to access your products for free and serves them with a DMCA notice informing them of a copyright breach. The majority of website owners are very compliant and the offending content is removed.

Will I Be Provided With A Completion Report?

All of our customers are provided with a report detailing exactly where unauthorized content was located, this will also give you an opportunity to view enclosed links and see how the offending content is now inaccessible/removed.

I Purchased A Package But Haven’t Heard Anything

Not to worry, if we received payment successfully and you have confirmation of purchase, chances are work has already began on your campaign.
